Retreats and quiet days
What we offer:
1. Holistic Package of Care in the context of: Debriefing Retreat Pastoral Care 2. Regular, ongoing: Spiritual Direction Supervision |
In the midst of a busy life many of us find it difficult to notice God's action in our daily affairs. Yet at the deepest level we long for a more conscious experience of God's presence.
Retreats provide an opportunity to take time out from normal routines in order to create some space for God, to spend time with him in silence, reflection and contemplation - to take a long, loving look at things as they really are. Someone illustrated it as offering sips of water to someone dehydrated after a marathon. As people make themselves available to listen to God in this way, spiritual growth will occur, often in unexpected but totally appropriate ways as God's grace touches them. The heart is waiting; it is open and it will be filled. |
What we offer
A retreat could be anything from one to five days. People find their own retreat space near us, or it may be possible for us to provide retreat support on an itinerant basis. We envisage that a person(s) would spend most of their time on retreat on their own with God, with varying input from us depending on the needs and desire of the individual(s). * At the very least one of us would meet with each individual one hour a day for Spiritual Direction - help the person to recognise God's invitations and their responses. * We could also offer time(s) of worship, devotion/reflection each day * Offer input and exercises e.g. around contemplative and other forms of prayer. We are also available to facilitate retreats, involving a group of people. Fees Click here for information about fees. |
